After all those months of building, fixing, stressing out (just a little), planning and re-planning, we finally got Lufka on the road! Lufka is a grand old lady who does not wish to rush, so as we left 3 hours too late due to some complications in Vienna, she started to protest against speeding (80km/h – kind of speeding).
The plan was to drive from Vienna to Melk (to get electricity),then futher to Waidhofen an der Ybbs for the fridge, and finally to Styria for the night. The plan changed drastically, when we stood in Waidhofen at 7.30pm and found out, that it would take us a good four hours, as opposed to two, to get to our nightrest. We decided not to drive another painstaking journey in darkness and rain without lights and therefore missed a meeting and a comfortable night in a friend´s place.

Another funky detail occurred, when Andi paid bills before leaving and realised that none of his recent customers had paid theirs. Lufka eats a lot of gasoline, but also we had to eat. The only place open in these distant villages at 9pm in the evening was a fancy burger restaurant, so after eating the cheapest meal on the menu we were down to 30 euros, which hopefully will get us enough petrol to get to Italy, and if we are VERY lucky, a cup of coffee in the morning!
