Building towards first Performance

The week flew past and somesort of a performance was born in the end. The rain carried on in the beginning of the week and made rehearsing difficult, but that led to even more productive end of the week.
We realised there wouldn´t be any fabrics available within 30km radius so the local hardware shop provided everything we needed for the costume and the whole thursday went by sitting in front of the sewing machine. The costume is a combination of plastig garden bags and all-purpose garden fabric, up until we find a fabric store and enough time for some serious costume making.

We were able to start rehearsing only after the sun was down, and as the sun lowered behind the mountains also the weather temperature went down so much it felt like winter. For Heidi this was a nightly struggle, but for Andi it only balanced already overheated brains when figuring out quick ways through Isadora Software. Our rehearsal times were from 9pm until midnight for three nights, and in the end we came up with something of a draft or a nugget of a performance which doesn´t seem too bad a start for our 3 months of exploration. It will be interesting to see what the time, weather conditions and scenery accross the balkans will bring…
